This movie was certainly something, the tones, the atmosphere, everything about the cinematography was absolutely stunning. However that doesn't take away from the confusion, I for one understood many of the "coded" words and language within the movie, but even for me it was at times, unreadable. I did enjoy the way the words were like a puzzle, that was very well done but it does not in any way take away from the confusion. This movie definitely depicted elements of the lesbian relationships during this time that many other movies or TV shows during or placed in the same time period just lack. As many people have stated the music for this film did not at all match the theme but it definitely added some emotion to it and I see why the directors must have chose it, just not exactly what I was looking forward to. I loved this movie though and I recommend you watch it if you'd like to have a more realistic and confusing lesbian love affair. Good watching my fellow movie connoisseurs.
