Very powerful series

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this on TV when I was 9 years old.

My memory is that it was extremely good and was very much a visceral experience. The story was gripping. The tension and fear that built up, and the horror of the whole situation were deeply felt rather than simply watched. At least at nine years of age. The two scenes that made the most indelible impression on my memory were the one where Yeo was dragged naked along a corridor past some young Women and they repeatedly pushed underwater in a bathtub. The other was if I recall correctly the very final scene once he was safely back in Blighty sitting in an armchair. Someone, i believe a child, came up from behind and suprised him. His nerves still strung out he reacted instinctively, only stopping himself at the last moment. The horror in the childs eyes and Yeo's at what he had almost done really drove home just what a huge price he had paid.

Our Hero was a broken man.

I am pretty sure that the theme music at the start was 'Run Rabbit' I have searched the internet to no avail as I would very much like to view the series again. It is a very great shame that it seems to have been destroyed as it really was a powerful series with Kenneth Moore at his best.
