Jekyll and Hyde story featuring Christopher Lee causing havoc in foggy Victorian London, but for some reason with the names changed to Marlow and Blake.

A particularly impressive performance by Lee who shifts quite effortlessly between nasty, violent and sexual crazed to quiet gentleman and back, supported by a fairly subdued, but as ever, solid Cushing. This all adds up to a small scale, but nicely staged version of the classic novella albeit relatively short on blood letting. A pity it includes ex DJ Mike Raven, who simply cannot act and well done to Cushing who apparently and understandably found this the hardest film he had to make as his beloved wife, Helen was so ill during filming. What a gent!
