I loved this program, as I love all detective stories. But apart from the whodunnit aspect there is a lot of humour and kindheartedness and warmth on display. Montalbano is a very human figure and all the normal human emotions are displayed, good and bad.
It's a bonus that the last episode has in it one of the most beautiful women in the world in Greta Scarono. Lucky Salvo!
