Closer to the anime series; still fun to play

Warning: Spoilers
This game has a very special place in my heart, since it was given to me by my brother as a birthday gift.

In many ways, the game is very similar to Pokemon Red and Blue, with only a couple of changes in order to be more similar to the anime version: The most notorious change is that not only Pikachu is your main starter, but he also accompanies the player for most of the game, a nice touch which I kinda wish other games had included.

Of course, having Pikachu as your starter could have some trouble, considering the first Gym leader is a Rock type (I still can't remember very well how I defeated Brock this time) so that part of the game could be a bit harder compared to the advantage of having Squirtle or Bulbasaur as your starter; that being said, the game is fun to play and it was nice that for at least one of the games, I was able to have the three main starters on my team.
