Poorly filmed, but necessary to watch
29 July 2022
With a title like this you know what you are getting yourself into, an introspection into one of the darkest periods in European History. The story is heavy, dark, hard to watch and hard to face. But it's a necessity.

The movie start with this quote by Edmund Burke 'Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it', and ends up with speeches from current politicians, talking about what they would want to do to foreigners, other faiths, lgbt+ people.. No music, no image, just faced with the awful truth.

As for the movie itself, the actors are good. I however didn't like how it was filmed, no steadycam at all, but most of all, scenes that looked like they were filmed from a smartphone, vertically. A lot of shaky images, hard to follow, things on the side, upside down... Which make things hard to follow. At one point the 2 real life heroes are hidden and watch a scene outside, you are supposed to feel anxious with them, but I couldn't tell you what happened in there since it was upside down for a while. It just didn't serve the story that needs to be told.
