I used to watch clips on YouTube and then I started watching on Viki. Turns out they're showing it on Prime. Yeeee Haaaaa! So I'm watching it there and even if I've watched it on YT I am still watching it over. And over. What amazes me is the make-up. All those old ladies are really young women in real life. Vivien Wu is the one that I was so totally shocked when I learned who she played. I shook my head until I thought it was going to come off. I could not believe it. This is a great series to watch. I love learning history and about other cultures. This is perfect. The costumes and jewelry are excellent. But for me the most incredible thing about this series is the make-up. If you get a chance, watch it. You won't be disappointed.

Okay, I like most things about this show especially when Ruyi gets back at everyone who tried to screw her over. What I don't like is how stupid the emperor is. It's almost like he couldn't think beyond the p*$$y. He loved Ruyi but still kept believing she was evil when it was his first wife who was evil. He just could not think or believe in Ruyi. And by the time he finally realized how stupid he was, it was too late. I do want to say that the difference between this show and the Yanxi Palace show is that the evil consort in Ruyi's Love got what she had coming to her. And the one in Yanxi Palace got the emperor. Although, you could say he got what he deserved for being such an effing idiot.
I do love watching the clips where all them bit*&s get whats coming to them.
I rate the whole series a 10 but I rate the stupidity of the emperor a 5.
