In terms of entertainment I would give this a 6 or 7, but in terms of misleading the viewer with huge reinventions, it must be rated only as a 3.
Who would think it ok to have a Queen who was in her 30s be played by a 70 year old? And what are all these British actors doing in a story about Russians? As other critics mention, Germany & Istanbul were not in existence at her time.
I want historical drama to entertain, but also educate. But now with all the inventions going on, we must do our own research.
