A post-war black marketeer is recruited by the British Government to rescue an abducted nuclear scientist.
Tom Hollander was very good (Lucy Boynton pretty good too & looked stunning) but I didn't really care for most of the cast or acting. I don't know if the lead (Joe Cole) was trying to imitate Michael Caine here but he was very wooden. He lacked the charisma, presence and the looks for the lead role here.
The period is really nicely recreated, it's great to see all the classic cars, the decor and even the clothes. Having said that, it still felt low budget and I couldn't really take it seriously from the start.
The show has a nice finale but it's mediocre overall.
