and this is the story of three such men who have grown into washed-up, middle-aged old farts , now one kick away from pulling their hamstrings. But when their master is murdered, they must juggle their dead-end jobs, dad duties, and old grudges to avenge his death.

It's a film that lacks originality apart from the men's ages but is surprisingly fun .
We go through the usual set pieces you would see in a martial arts movie . The men fight a group of wannabe Tigers , then the guy who they used to beat as kids and ultimately the man who killed their master .
What makes this film fun is not the action or the storyline, it's the characters on show . The tigers have charisma and are funny and you can't help but cheer for them despite their obvious weaknesses.
This is nothing groundbreaking but let me tell you , I've see a lot worse than The Paper Tigers .
It does have the feel of a film that will only be seen on an obscure cable channel or found in the DVD bargain bin but quite honestly it deserves better than that .
