Really sad and graphic. As that over poor Boone grows up with an abusive stepfather who abuses her physically, sexually, mentally, and emotionally. And her mother is such a loser too. In the end she chooses her husband over her poor child.
And really this film is really sad and dealing with child abuse with great performances all around.
Reason it is a 7 due to that over in the being graphic and indeed sad. Not for the squeamish.
