Mixtape (II) (2021)
10/10
It's 10 out of 10 !!
9 December 2021
Whatever you read here won't include spoilers as this is not the suspense kind of movie to hold you on edge with the murderer, weapon and room to be revealed at the end!

It's a feel-good story from start to end, heart-warming, filled with lively conversations, comedic lines, fun and awesome 80s-90s songs that make us nostalgic of that time.

Julie Bowen and Nick Thune bring the experience & charm but the revelation of the film are the 3 young actresses, Gemma Brooke Allen (Beverley), Olga Petsa (Nicky) and Audrey Hsieh (Ellen) who performed to perfection their characters and in-film evolution, showing us how easy it really is for teenagers to create friendships and how resourceful they can be in their search for answers or even forming solidarity against bullying.

All was well balanced and the film offers a ray of optimism for our youths.

Highly recommended for all ages and not just teenagers.
