Review of Spencer

Painful poem worth for the art
8 December 2021
I had seen the trailers of the movie and read plenty of reviews before actually watching it. I was not expecting what I have encountered.

Throughout it I felt as I asume was the intent of the director and producer: pure angst. So in that manner, it is splendid.

We get to see Diana as never before. And no matter if you were a fan or a hater this will be a really tough journey to follow.

I personaly can empathise with both Diana and the queen. As an outsider I came to believe through the lenses of others that they are / were both right each in their own story and perspective.

In this movie we get to feel Diana's pain in a world were she clearly didn't fit (if there was ever a world she felt at home we may never know). We get to live her strugle with mental health. It is gruesome. It is brutal and saddening.

Does it go too far? I can't tell. It is an artistic work. It tells how the artist feels Diana felt.

It is not enjoyable. But that is its purpose. It was no secret Diana suffered from mental health. Both her children have done a wonderful work in raising awarenes to the importance of giving mental health its right attention and care.

God, I am babbling. That is how I came out of this movie.
