The Florist (2021)

Awesome!

Good news!

I found a movie that is a brilliantly sublime satire; "The Florist". The fact I like it so much makes me wonder though.

It made me realize satire, from one person's perspective, probably seems like the depiction of a genuine life full of "right" decisions, but surprisingly unexpected consequences, to another. To the first person, the consequences are neither surprising nor unexpected. And the absurdity about it, which is what I enjoy the most, is in the thread they used to stitch fortuitous outcomes to the daisy chain of ill-advised decisions. So much of life seems to be exactly that way for so many people. And, staying true to my grandma's phrase; "what's good for the goose is good for the gander", a movie about my life experiences could be satire for someone else. Hopefully not this awesome though. But there is that wondering I mentioned earlier.

Person unknowingly watching a satire of their life trajectory: "Hey! Wait a minute. I don't get it. What is so funny about this?" Other observers: "Ha! What?... That's hilarious you moron." And there are some really chill grooves in the soundtrack. I'll look for the full soundtrack online.

And that is an incredibly hilarious sequence depicting the classic comedic scenario: How they envision it versus what we see. For the record; that is not my rave experience. Sadly, my mind doesn't get that bent on anything I've ever ingested. But it would be awesome to see the video if it did.

Bad news: If most people don't see this as a satire (if this is a fairly accurate depiction of their reality), we could be screwed and I feel sorry for those kids.

Repeated Question: "Are we there yet?" Previous answer: "Not yet, we're almost there." "Now sit back and be quiet." Current answer: "Yes, the drive is finally over." "The pandemic has delivered us all to crazyville."
