I read that another reviewer on this message board referred to this movie as a "cult classic". That assertion is an insult to genuine cult classics. This movie is as palatable as an unexpected bout of explosive diarrhea. The acting is over-the-top horrendous, as are the special effects and the direction. The scene where the uncle and aunt slam their faces into their plates at the dinner table and eat like dogs from a bowl is one of the stupidest scenes that I've ever seen in any movie.
This is a werewolf movie; the most poorly executed werewolf movie that I've ever seen. At one point, after the aunt slaughters someone in front of other members of the group, the caretaker of the house advises the surviving members to lock themselves in the bedrooms. One of the other characters asks why... as she's literally covered from head to toe in the blood of the man that the aunt slaughtered right in front of her.
The director tries to make up for the horrible acting and idiotic of with buckets of gore. It doesn't work. Crap covered in blood is still crap, and this movie is utter crap. I turned it off a little less than halfway through it.
