Vague Woman is back
21 June 2021
After the awesomeness that Reign of the Supermen and Batman: Hush offered, I thought this would be a perfect movie to complete the Superman-Batman-Wonder Woman trilogy. While Reign of the Supermen and Batman: Hush were very memorable, this on the other hand was very forgettable. I am writing this review around 2 years after I have watched it and I don't remember much. I can't even take help from Honest Trailers, Cinemasins, Pitch Meetings etc to remember what all happened in it, so I will judge it only on the basis of the things I am remembering while writing this.

Wonder Woman: Bloodlines has the same beginning as the 2017 live action movie: Diana decided to save the man's world and left Themyscira. The story, however, takes place in the present day instead of World War I. Diana is some government official now, probably of Amazonians or something. She decides to help an outcast girl when she visits her mother's home. They have a Barbie-like moment together, but that girl later turns into Mercy from Overwatch (the one drawn on the cover).

There's a fight between Wonder Woman and Medusa, in which Diana puts poison in her eye and blinds herself to fight. After the hero-villain fight she manages to reform Mercy and they become friends again. If I remember correctly, Cheetah was also in this. There was also a woman who grew very big.

The animation is the reason why I have given it a good rating. It was forgettable, but I remember enjoying what it showed while it lasted. And trust me when I say I don't have the guts to watch this again on Prime Video. It's quite mediocre and I don't like watching the same movie twice unless I have given it a 10/10 rating.
