We watched this in Spanish class, I wish we we could watch it again!
The acting in this movie is super convincing, and the actors give a broad range of emotions. Really letting you love and connect with them and their story!
Additionally, the film tried to be just enough - it tried to be serious at the same time as a friendly family film. As a result, the plot is digestible, and ridiculously silly- so it can be marketed towards children, and contains a tear inducing, mature exploration of children's relationships with their parents. That is greatly executed. Thankfully, I wish I could have watch this with either of my parents. Or anyone really, this film must be shared!
The plot is captivating, and intelligent, as well as original - it's practically an adventure movie where they get stuck on a practically abandoned island, and meet an evil woman who wants to stay a child. Exciting right!!!
