Movie is based around a serious issue but storyline rough

I never submit reviews but the lead actor who plays Jodie the cop makes this movie hard to watch. She lacks the most general investigative and tactical knowledge. Then they solve the biggest case that results in the release of about 100 girls and dozens of arrest but in the midst the plot shifts to it must be a leak for us to catch a break like this? Her car flips, she wakes up in a hospital and just so happens to have a car ready outside the hospital?
