Just Another Pretentious Movie
7 April 2021
It is really a pity that such a well-conceived concept did not reach its full potential.

Very quickly the film falls into a predictable trap and begins to take itself too seriously.

The music is good and brilliantly conceived, but the film simply becomes tedious with its childish desire to educate the viewer and thus becomes too arrogant to be taken seriously. The only really good part of the film is when Tina Turner performs the song Acid Queen.

I wanted to see this movie because of the excellent music, but it's so pretentious that even the music can't save it.

The not-so-subtle allegory of religion is simply too naive and ridiculous and makes the film seem pretentious. A typical example of a film that takes itself too seriously and thus becomes pretentious and unwatchable. Too bad, I was expecting something much better.

The film had potential, but unfortunately in the end, it turned out to be just another pompous and pretentious film.
