6/10
cult following

Don't take it all too serious and it will turn out fine. A bit outdated nowadays on part of the humor, it's typical British but it's silly on many ways. It became famous due Kenny Everett being in it, who was a popular comedian back then in the days.

On the other hand somehow they got Voncent Price to be the bad guy, being funny here too and it works. As I said, some jokes are okay.

Overall a bit of a simple story and a laugh here and there, simple effects but effective on some parts. Other effects are really cheaply done.

And still this has become a cult favorite. It was out on a dutch VHS and I can tell you, from all over the world it was hunted down in Belgium and the Netherlands. Strangely it came out on DVD, sold out and at this writing i've seen it for almost 300$!!

Up to you to decide a watch worth seeing.
