The reviews are quite spot on here. It 'is' quite dire but it is also quite funny too. The acting is unfortunate. Really bad mostly.
I'd say the only redeeming factor is the scenery & music. It's not bad. It does have a electronic 80s vibe, as someone mentioned in the reviews- Giorgio Moroder/John Carpenter, it does! I thought of Georgio Moroder, more basic version. I managed to watch it all the way through somehow because Gerald is quite likable & just to know what happens in the end.
