This is mainly for atmosphere, mood and music: visions of white-veiled brides seeming to float through misty gardens in the moonlight with an appropriately disturbing score. And the beauty of the 2 female leads (and male lead, for the ladies}, quite a sexy triangle! Some weird striking images, some apparently included just to strike the viewer in the moment as they don't seem particularly endemic to the plot, which rambles its way to its expected conclusion--contrary to the tagline, the bride's revenge is not taken till several nights after the wedding. Moments of gore are reserved for best effect, though effects are of uneven quality, with an egregious omission at the very end. Dialogue is often stilted and often sounds unconvincing in the dubbing.
