This movie is based on a very popular Children's book which is not very complicated. The movie deviates to much from the book in my opinion. Very strong story lines in the book are replaces with generic events in order to make the movie shallow.
I do need to say that the movie does create the feeling of taking place in a existing country, having being filmed all over Europe.
If the movie had followed the story in the book it would have been better.
