This low budget Corman film had everything it needed to make a fantastic movie except a decent cast and better special effects. The scenery was fantastic, I've seen worse alien temples in big budget films. The plot a little thin but workable. Robert Englund shines as his small part is actually well done (Not sure how someone who could act snuck in). Suspense, check, Horrifying moments, check, comedic bits, check. Lead actor who looks like a bad Tom Selleck, and acts like a robot doing a hemorrhoid commercial, sigh, check. This movie is such a mix of good and bad it's kinda in a league by itself. Expound the plot, redo the cheesy parts, swap actors, and definitely keep woman vs giant horny maggot, and you'd have a blockbuster.
