Blyton-style kid's adventure
10 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
THE SECRET TUNNEL is a little-seen kid's adventure film that feels very much like a prototype for the popular Children's Film Foundation films to follow. It stars the kid from GREAT EXPLANATIONS as one of a gang who get caught up with the usual antics involving a gang of sinister art smugglers with brawn but not brains on their side. Low rent action follows, shot very much in a dated Enid Blyton style, but enjoyable enough for fans of the era's output.
