Review of Firepower

Firepower (1993)
1/10
A Bad Movie

Warning: Spoilers
Firepower is simply a bad movie. It is about two cops ( Chad McQueen and Gary Daniels) go undercover in a part of LA that is like The Purge or Robocop where anything goes ( Murder included): McQueen ( the son of Steve), is the main star and the hero with a wife and kid, while Daniels is his simply his wisecracking partner. The only good thing about the movie is Alisha Das ( Lisa) who is a knockout. One major issue I had was ( spoilers ahead) was McQueen falling for Lisa ( despite loving his wife ( although she always was complaining about his job)). Rather conveniently his wife gets knocked off ( Daniels as well), so McQueen decides to get revenge, and finds out that Lisa is being held hostage. He has to fight 'The Swordsman' ( a almost robotic killer who killed Daniels), and of course beats him by electrocuting him. He finally kills the big boss (Joseph Ruskin). I should note that Earlier in the film McQueen told Lisa she needs to get out of the area and find a job ( she was stuck in the bad part of LA for 4 years), st the end she says "We both have to get out of the zone" and embrace as the film ends so it goes without saying her new job will be wife number 2 ( I can only imagine what his son will think about it?). Anyway it is a bad movie, that deserves only one star that is for Lisa. 1/10 stars.
