Warning: Spoilers
Jack's adventures continue when he is informed that old flame and fellow archaeologist Lena Halstrom has discovered an obelisk in Egypt that may lead to the tomb of Akhenaton, the pharaoh who raided Ugarit and stole its treasure along with the second piece of the Star of Heaven. After Jack deciphers secret symbols on the obelisk, he soon finds himself hunted by a group sworn to keep the location of the pharaoh's last resting place secret.

More of the same from the second film. Same production values, same wooden acting, same level of screenplay consistency. The film takes place in Syria which is probably the most interesting aspect of the entire film. The local military is portrayed as corrupt, but the rebel fighters are even worse as witless fanatics. There is really no distinction from the previous film apart from a new, very choice location and different story, or was it just a continuation from a big ass production.

The introduction of the NSA, playing the same role the US government did in the Indi films is predictable, but still, if it ain't broke... Anyway, Jack Hunter 2 is more of the same. Passable escapist fare, just like the first one, moving on.
