Delightfully random and has brilliant moments

Warning: Spoilers
We follow two characters; Jonny (Rupert Grint) a band manager who's down on his luck and in desperate need of money, and Kidman (Ron Perlman) a CIA agent suffering from PTSD and in desperate need of retirement. The two come together unwillingly when Kidman is assigned his last mission; to meet with legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick in order to propose faking the moon landing on film. It goes wrong quite quickly with Jonny being mistaken for Kubrick's agent and the mission becomes a frantic attempt to deliver the goods. Ultimately, as you can tell from the sound of the plot, it's a bit all over the place and uneven, balancing different moods and genres from the raunchy opening titles to stoner comedy to violent action then eventually settling down into a montage of the styles merging into one! But it still manages to be entertaining in its anarchic approach and has an amazing performance from the one and only Mr Perlman; who is hilariously crotchety and badass. He made me laugh out loud on many occasions in the film and there's a trippy drug induced sequence with him right in the middle that is essential viewing!
