This movie makes "Due Date" look like a masterpiece. The "annoying guy" (John Candy) is really annoying for us too, which shouldn't be the case. And Martin sucks at delivering the reactions of the straight man, not helped by a disastrous editing job. All the scenes are stiff. the editing style just ruins the mood for me. It jumps from scene to scene, making it more a bunch of sketches glued together by a thin story (come back home dealing with bad weather). Also, plain and simple, I don't find the jokes funny. Martin's character feel unrealistic because he's supposed to be a "straight man" and acts like it, but accepts ridiculous behavior from Candy's character all the time for no reason. It's just dumb.
In the end, I found most of this movie just boring and unfunny. Martin doesn't work for me as the boring typical dude and John Candy is just annoying. Not for me.
