Like shows like "Earth" and the great recent Disney documentaries (such as "Crimson Wing"), the cinematography in "Great Migrations" is amazing. It really makes you wonder about the folks who filmed it....the cinematograpers really outdid themselves here and it must have taken hours and hours and hours to compile such terrific footage. It's really a quality mini-series...and National Geographic outdid themselves.
I do have a caveat about the show. Because it is nature, nature isn't always pretty. You often see animals tearing each other apart and it's not for young kids or the easily disturbed.
