The sharp fall of a hardline cop....
17 November 2019
This Belgian thriller is one I just happened to come by chance, and I'm happy I did. Centres round a hard-nosed cop who aims to enter politics on the ticket of a far-right party, which mirrors his often racist, misogynistic black & white viewpoint. What happens is that on the turn of his last day in the office, it all begins to come crashing down.

This is a fine difficult film, all about the discovery of the dark revelations that lie beneath the surface of the lead actor, Peter Van den Begin, who is excellent in the lead. He is ably supported a by a fine cast, and watching the car crash of the career of the lead for some will be like schadenfreude.

This is one dark film noir type film, and feels very real, but more importantly relevant in the current social & political turmoil of the current era.

One I'd recommend you all to keep an eye out for.
