Bound (2015 Video)
6/10
Lacks a gripping storyline but the ending was truly inspiring.

Warning: Spoilers
If you're planning on watching this for the "fifty shades feel" then don't bother. However, if you're interested in watching a strong female lead redefine herself within a world of BDSM and understand that her current "relationship" is one to walk away from as it misuses the while concept as a way to torture and control those around him, then this is for you!

The film lacks passion and does not contain one ounce of romance (apart from one character turning up with a bunch of flowers) and I found it requires patience to sit through the whole film and the direction could certainly use some improvement along with some of the acting. Although in saying (typing) this and perhaps I'm quite biased, Charisma Carpenter was most likely the best and only reason why I stuck with this film and not because she was in Buffy/Angel but because she played a character that showed true strength when coming to the realisation that something was bad for and I loved the characters courage in making sure she was heard and understood. The ending was most definitely my favourite part, it relied on the professional aspect of her life and she took charge of gaining respect from her fellow colleagues whilst also making sure she was the boss. I believe this film has an important message for those who have been treated cruelly whilst using a form of roleplaying that gives those who are dedicated a bad name and that you can come out of it stronger than ever. For this, I recommend this film but have patience and keep an open mind that will lead you to the most defining and courageous part of the film.
