THE LIQUIDATOR is an extremely dull and boring serial killer movie from mainland China, made with plenty of cash but without anything in the way of soul. It's a trite, predictable story about a detective on the trail of the usual murderer, but the viewer is never invested in the tale for a second and that's because of the routine scripting and basic production values. In addition, the actors appear miscast in their roles and some of this feels humorous when it should be deadly serious.
