If you enjoyed the book, prepare to be terribly disappointed in the TV adaption. Everything that made the book brilliant, strong character development, touches of wry humour, the extraordinary supernatural, are glaringly absent so far.
Instead of a story of discovery and adventure, it really is just another cop show.
