Warning: Spoilers
NIGHTMARE AT BITTER CREEK is a cheap but workable TV movie from the late 1980s, one that reminded me of DEADLY PURSUIT a little but on a far lower budget. Tom Skerritt is the guy taking the role of the grizzled old guide who takes on the job of leading a number of women into the wilderness for a camping trip. Unfortunately for them, their visit coincides with the escape of a number of Neo Nazis into the same woods, and all hell is about to break loose. The lack of a proper budget hurts this one a little, but at least the outdoor locales are authentic enough. The film also has an appropriate level of darkness, more so than I was expecting from a TV movie.
