What an epic wrestling scene between Zbyszko and Mazurki
25 April 2019
This Film-Noir is perfect entertainment escapism. It has drama, love/hate relationships, greed, blind ambition and one of THE VERY BEST action wrestling scenes that I have ever seen. Richard Widmark plays a sneaky con-man trying to make that one big score so that he can own his own club and stop relying on some of the local showman to front his escapades.

Widmark has two women who are willing to give him money for his schemes, buthis selfish greed and blind ambition gets the better of him and he becomes a wanted man, when his latest scheduled wrestling match goes south due to unforseen circumstances.

I just loved the unplanned wrestling match between the elder Greco style wrestler Stanislaus Zbyszko, and the tough talking, hard drinking, fake wrestler nicknamed "The Strangler". Now THIS is a classic wrestling match that has stood the test of time over the past eight (8) decades.

Very worthy of a 7 out of 10 rating FILM-Noir classic cinema
