I loved smurfs as a kid. And the new generation of children loves them as well. Not surprising, it is a unique fantasy land that we all love to hear stories from. And this is sure a movie that will make children happy. Beautiful animation and fast paced story that may even seem unpredictable for the very young ones.
As an adult one has less fun, but this is a children's movie and I still was entertained and enjoyed the animation. But I wish they had the Happy Song in it. How can there be Smurfs without it?
And somehow I didn't really like the citizens of that female smurf village. Somehow they lacked the personalities and charm of the Smurfs that we all know. But watching the Smurfs have fun in that new village was also pretty entertaining.
