I loved Dave Allen the man was pure genius, I loved the way he attacked the Catholic Church, I wonder what he would say about the Kiddy fiddlers there today. That Nun! phew what a witch, I'm pretty sure most of them were like that, call that the love of God, glad I don't believe in him, love like that I can live without.
However, the performances were very good, Aiden 'Mr Game of Thrones' Gillen played him very well. However great chunks of Mr Allen's life are missing, like his marriage and children. One minute his brother is his partner at Butlin then suddenly he's an alcoholic, no sooner do we see that he's dead, I mean whistle stop biopic or what.
I've always thought cramming someone's life into a two hour film was pushing it but an hour to cover Mr Allen's is a travesty.
Maybe someone will do his life some justice because this ain't it.
