Set mainly in and around the palace of a Korean monarch various factions try to gain power. Through the intrigue and murder there is a poignant love story which has many serious ups and downs, mainly due to a Shamans spell. I thought the drama was very well acted by the full ensemble and I thought the actress playing the adult female lead had a most attractive voice and tone as well as emerging the strongest character out of them all. Thankfully though, it is not all tragic as there are many light hearted moments, mostly involving the king and chief eunuch.
