Talky sci-fi drama
4 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
HYDROSPHERE is a cheap Canadian science fiction film which is all talk and no action. The story does actually have some scope, with a captain in charge of a violent prison ship and the moral dilemmas that ensue, but this is reduced to cheap special effecs and endlessly boring dialogue in this hopeless picture. The great Malcolm McDowell stars and brings a little of his trademark bite to the role, but he alone can't hope to make this a watchable movie.
