A charming, if traditional, tale of cops, cats and robbers.
5 September 2018
While its title is perhaps a bit misleading (the cat doesn't really have anything to do with the plot at all, other than tying its two lead characters together), this charming little animation tells a tight, if traditional, tale of cops and robbers through a distinct, somewhat painterly style. 'A Cat In Paris (2010)' is incredibly short and, as such, doesn't hang about for a second but, even so, there are moments that feel strangely slow and repetitive. Because of this, the piece feels as though it has a slightly odd pace to it and, on the whole, there's only so much investment possible. However, it's always an entertaining, if not entirely engaging, experience. 6/10
