This is a teen/adult sex comedy-both teens and adults are having sex in this movie. It's directed by first time director Kay Cannon, who has a writer's credit on all 3 Pitch Perfect movies, New Girl_tv & 30 Rock_tv. The plot is pretty simple; teenage girls plan on loosing their virginity on Prom night and their parents plan on stopping them. Leslie is Kathryn's overly protective single parent mom. Ike is Gideon's divorced father, who is trying to reconnect with her. John is Geraldine's emotional, can't believe she is growing up so fast, father. FYI: The original title of the movie was Cock Blockers but it was deemed too vulgar. So, they used a picture of a rooster-also known as a cock-before the word Blockers, in the advertisements. There is a moral to the story and it involves trust, honesty and equality. There is a scene just as the end credits start that involves nudity-there is a game played by Gary Cole & Gina Gershon that someone else is seen playing here.
It's rated "R" for language, drug content, teen partying and sexual content-including nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 52 minutes.
I enjoyed it enough that I would buy it on DVD.
