. . . REVOLTING RHYMES of Oscar's gelded statuette for "Best Animated Short" in 2018. As perhaps the most glaring example of "Old School" sexism at this year's awards, the star-struck voters filched REVOLTING RHYMES' well-deserved prize and foisted it off upon a guy "acquitted" of a vicious assault in a "he-said, she-said" case simply because he was Rich and Famous, while his victim was not. With the Tinseltown crowd paying lip service to the "Moral High Ground" as they pontificate screeches of Bloody Murder against any Pale-Faced Dude who inadvertently brushed against a chick in a crowded elevator back in the 1900s, these prize-winning hypocrites would have been overjoyed to snatch away REVOLTING RHYMES' honor if only they could have thrown it at the feet of "The Juice" or "America's Dad." Since the latter two serial-somethings did not submit an entry in this year's cartoon category, they went Ga-Ga over the next best Thing. Any informed person knows that at least half of Hollywood's Oscar Laureates are more deserving of a spot in the Hall of Shame (if not a prison cell). The Revolting way in which REVOLTING RHYMES was robbed should serve as a reminder that "the more things change, the more screwed up they get."
