Warning: Spoilers
Science has discovered that the HSS-282 gene gives people a propensity for "evil" i.e. commit violent crimes. The feds have gathered death row inmates all in one place to experiment on them with various drugs and therapy. The man who heads up the project seemingly killed himself. The NIH sends in Griff Krenshaw ( Richard Speight Jr) to investigate, a man who takes PTSD drugs. He works closely to the head man's deputy, Dr. Dana Ehrhart (Cameron Richardson) who loves her "lab rats". Krenshaw has hallucination issues concerning his younger brother (Jon-Paul Vertuccio) who also had killed himself. Ehrhart's husband was also a suicide victim.

The film is more of a psychological thriller than horror. The priest explains what is going on, although his explanation doesn't truly manifest itself as there are other elements in play. I liked the idea for the film but was not excited about the low budget execution. The characters were bland. Cameron Richardson used her own daughter in the film. I wondered how they got someone that looked like her mini-me.

Guide: F-word. Brief sex talk. Near sex scene. No nudity.
