Harmon's Cartoons made flesh...
23 June 2017
Larry Harmon's cartoons weren't very good but at least they were only a few minutes long...here we get an hour and a half...The Boy's themselves rarely strayed over 70m...

If we have to compare it to the greatest film team of all time the closest are the post 1940 films but they still are more enjoyable.

The story is more Abbott & Costello than Laurel & Hardy. Gailard Sartain is actually good at being Ollie while Bronson Pinchot can't get the voice and overdoes the mannerisms and is given dialogue that frankly makes him seem retarded...

Thankfully this was the only adventure made and resides in my DVD collection as I'm a completest.

Watch the real things...Try Busy Bodies, Towed In A Hole, Way Out West, Sons Of The Desert...in fact just buy which ever box set of the Roach era films is available in your country.
