The betrayal behind the betrayal
12 May 2017
The Widow is intent on killing Quinn. Ryder has made a fast recovery and wants to be his own boss. Sunny tries to teach M.K.... The fourth episode of "Into the Badlands" keeps the story alive with fights, nice action direction and enough thrilling moments, but someone should put a little bit more care into the plot.

Everything that happens in this episode has been seen many, too many, times before. The characters are taking decisions that seem to have come out of a 101-guide-to-write-action-characters. Ryder or Quinn have the depth of a puddle and the plot overplays their I-am-selfish card. And M.K. takes too much screen time, Aramis Knight unable to bring too much needed life to the character.
