Mr Bean: Funeral (2015 TV Short)
4/10
Certainly not better than the older stuff

Warning: Spoilers
"Mr Bean: Funeral" is a British 8.5-minute live action short film from 2015 and the title already tells everybody that actor Rowan Atkinson returns as his career-defining character Mr. Bean here and it all takes place during a funeral ceremony. Well.. what can I say. I am definitely not much of a fan of the older Mr. bean short films and this one here is even worse I think. None of the comedy was entertaining to me and it is even absurd. I do think Atkinson has solid comedic potential, but the trademark character does little to nothing for me to be honest. And then there are also the annoying laughter sounds from the audience that are worse than in every sitcom you may have heard them until now. Atkinson more recently appeared in the brief "Love Actually" sequel and it seems he has a thing for reprising his old characters for new stuff when it is for charity. This is a honorable approach, but the quality of the outcome for this one we have here is on a level where I say 4 stars out of 10 is generous and I am pretty happy it was this short. Only watch it if you really really love Mr. Bean.
