Warning: Spoilers
"Die Halbzarte" or "Eva" is an Austrian German-language film from 1959, so this one is also already almost 60 years old and it stars Romy Schneider, one of the biggest stars in film at this point already, especially in Central Europe. She began filmmaking next to her mother, but soon developed into a much bigger star than Magda Schnedier and here she also plays the title character. Unfortunately as gorgeous as Romy Schneider may have been, this film is another example of how she works nicely through charisma, but does not have the greatest range in the world. Rolf Thiele and Hans Jacoby who made this colour film had also several other mentionable projects in their long careers. But speaking about this one here, I hope it is not among their brightest hours as this would mean that they were fairly limited. This especially refers to Jacoby as the story here never got me really interested and caring about the character(s). In the end, very little stays memorable beyond Romy's looks. I do not recommend the watch.a
