Warning: Spoilers
There is suddenly a slight flurry of robot movies out there.

Most low budget, low action, with more on an emphasis on plot than effects. When reading this in the reviews it actually sounds like my cup of tea.

With one small hitch, the plot stinks.

In this one you have two people, one is a robot and one is the scientist who created it. You have a science minded female journalist who is to write an article on this new robotic creation.

Now the scientist acts logical and cold and the robot is emotional and a little childish. One of the first thoughts is that the doctor is pretending to be a robot and visa versa. It was so obvious that I came to that conclusion seconds into the movie. It was so obvious that I kept assuring myself that they were doing some kind of double bluff.

Nope, that was the twist. The obvious thing they put in front of you in the first seconds of the film was the surprise twist at the end. The person that acts like a robot is, in actual fact a robot.

This theme is very similar to "Ex Machina". And both movies angered me.

We really should stop having stupid people trying to devise the thoughtful science fiction movies.
