Jogging may be hazardous to your health

Warning: Spoilers
"The Jogger" is an American 20-minute short film from over 25 years ago. The writer and director is Robert Resnikoff and he is mostly known for the film "The First Power" as well as "Collicsion Course", a cop comedy starring the unlikely duo of Jay Leno and Pat Morita. In "The Jogger", he directs Terry O'Quinn, an Emmy Award winner for "Lost". He plays a guy who gets up early to go jogging and runs into another jogger who attempts several times to kill the protagonist. Now I really wondered why he kept trying again and again after losing in the fights again and again, but the ending kind of explains it. The evil jogger is played by Tom Morga, who is mostly known for his work in the stunt department in films such as "The Shawshank Redemption" or the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films. Fittingly for his "real" profession, he does not speak a single word in "The Jogger", but mostly stays memorable by jumping through windows or spectacularly coming out of the water. The final developments with who the evil jogger really was came as a bit of a surprise to me and I think I may have preferred him being reality and not just a symptom of the protagonists declining health. Looks like jogging may indeed be hazardous to your health. Solid short film with nice atmospheric touch and I recommend it.
